About the race
XTERRA Wellington Festival takes place on Saturday 27 February 2027 at Queen Elizabeth Park (Ramaroa Rooms) on the Kāpiti Coast, in Paraparaumu. The festival has seven races across three sports: a 42K Trail Marathon, a 21K Trail Half Marathon, a duathlon (30K bike + 8.5K run), 14K and 6K trail runs, and mountain bike courses of 31K and 14K. The event is part of the XTERRA Trail Run World Series and lists 116 Trail Run World Championship slots.
Registration and check-in run from 06:00 to 10:30. The Trail Marathon starts at 06:55 (slow wave) and 07:55 (competition wave). The MTB races and the duathlon start at 08:10, the Half Marathon and 14K Trail Run at 10:55, and the 6K Trail Run at 11:15. Awards are at 15:00 at Ramaroa Rooms.
The minimum age is 14 for the individual and team events and for the 21K. The 6K and 14K have no age limit, but children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. The organizer notes that the schedule is not yet confirmed and may be based on the previous year's edition.
