About the race
XTERRA Rotorua Festival takes place on 10 April 2027 in Rotorua, in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty. The venues are Blue Lake (Lake Tikitapu) and Whakarewarewa Forest, with check-in at Distinction Hotel. XTERRA New Zealand and Barefoot Sport organize it.
The festival has seven events: a full triathlon (1K swim / 26K bike / 11K run), a short triathlon (500M swim / 9.1K bike / 5.5K run), a 21K trail half marathon, a full distance duathlon (26K bike / 11K run), 11K and 5.5K trail runs, and a 26K MTB race. The elite prize purse is NZ$10,000, with 28 World Championship slots.
The provisional schedule has the 5.5K, 11K and 21K runs starting at 08:00, the MTB and duathlon at 08:30, short triathlons at 10:00 and full triathlons at 10:45. The organizer notes that the schedule and event info are not yet confirmed and may change.

Triathlon and 21km events require age 14 or older. The 5.5km and 11km events have no minimum age, but children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Can I get a refund or defer my entry?
Entries are non-refundable, but they can be deferred to the following year or transferred to someone else.
