About the race
XTERRA Puerto Rico takes place on 10-11 April 2027 at Combate Beach in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. The organizer's page says the event has a new home in Cabo Rojo, although the listing gives Boquerón as the city. Saturday is for trail and multisport races: a 21K trail half marathon, a 10K trail run, a swim run (1K run, 500m swim, 1K run) and a 31K e-bike race.
Sunday is for the triathlons and the duathlon. The full distance triathlon (1.5K swim, 33K bike, 10K run) can be entered individually or as a relay. The sprint triathlon (750m swim, 15K bike, 5K run) is a Youth Qualifier, and the duathlon is 2.5K run, 15K bike, 5K run.
The professional prize purse is $7,500. The event offers 56 slots to the XTERRA World Championship triathlon and 58 slots to the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship.
