X-WATERS Kazakhstan promises to be the most poetic swim in the entire X-WATERS series in Kazakhstan. The waters of Burabai have become clearer, and its shores are lush with thriving forests. Encircling the lake is a dense wall of towering pines and slender birches, reminiscent of the vivid imagery in Saken Seifulin's "Kokshetau". Borovoye Lake stands as one of Kazakhstan's most stunning sites, a beloved retreat for residents of the capital. Often referred to as the "pearl of Kazakhstan" and "Kazakhstan's Switzerland," the lake boasts crystal-clear waters thanks to its predominantly granite and sandy shores. With depths averaging just 3.4 meters, reaching a maximum of 7 meters, the lake warms easily, revealing its bottom to the delight of swimmers. The picturesque landscape, with mountains, hills cloaked in coniferous forests, and fantastical rock formations, leaves a lasting impression on even the most seasoned travelers. In the lake's western part lies the intriguing Rock of Zhumbaktas, a stone island with a mysterious allure. Viewed from the blue bay, Zhumbaktas resembles a maiden; from another perspective, she turns into a fearsome witch. Hopefully, she reveals her gentler side to us! The Burabai region is the jewel of Kazakhstani tourism, featuring clear, refreshingly cool waters and extensive water basins. The X-WATERS series offers various routes across Lake Borovoye: - 1k circular path for amateurs, - 4k course that traverses the lake from shore to shore, - 8k route for courageous, seasoned athletes, who must swim the entire lake, circle Mount Zhumbaktas, and head back. The starting point for these adventures is at the Wyndham Garden Burabay, conveniently situated just 10 meters from the lake's edge, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. This strategic location ensures an easy preparation for participants and provides an opportunity for families to combine a holiday with the excitement of competition.
