The Wizz Air Skopje Marathon has become a renowned running event in Skopje, since its re-establishment in 2007. With its three races - marathon, half marathon, and a 5K humanitarian race - it is a proud member of the AIMS and attracts more and more runners each year. Its previous promoters include Kenyan Wilson Kipsang, the world record holder in 2014; the Estonian triplets Luik in 2017; and Paula Radcliffe from the UK, who held the women's world record from 2003 until 2020. This year, the marathon is a qualifying race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Championships in 2021. We strongly suggest that you extend your stay in Skopje and explore the area's natural wonders like Lake Matka, as well as the city's numerous tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. A visit to the Skopje Marathon will certainly be a memory that will last you a lifetime.
