UltraSwim 33.3 #15 Greece Welcome to Skopelos—the lushest gem of Greece’s Sporades archipelago and the celebrated setting of the cult classic Mamma Mia! Whether you intend to or not, you’ll likely be singing ABBA tunes all the way around this enchanting island! Our course guides you along Skopelos’ pristine coastlines, blending wild, exposed stretches with more sheltered coves—thanks to the island’s regular north wind. Along the way, you’ll pass some of the iconic filming locations, such as the dramatic clifftop church of Agios Ioannis, immortalized in the movie. Expect inviting water temperatures between 22–26°C—the warmest of all our venues by several degrees—ideal for a memorable swim from 18–21 September, 2026. Distinctive to our Greek adventure: Swim directly between the legendary Mamma Mia! film set locations—our 2024 Pioneer event favorite? The famous church itself! Island-to-island crossing from Alonissos to Skopelos and/or a full circumnavigation to cap off your experience. Our base, the Adrina Resort, not only hosted the film’s stars but is also family-owned, off-grid with solar electricity, and features a special filtered water supply just for our event—meaning no single-use plastic bottles, which are otherwise common in Greece! Statistically, this is our windiest course, but also the warmest—making for challenging yet exhilarating conditions.
