In late may Green Europe Marathon and the Green Europe Half Marathon will be held in Trieste, featuring two of the most spectacular courses in the world, between the Karst upland and the sea.The Green Europe Marathon will be the main and most attractive event of this edition of Bavisela, a sports festival taking place in Trieste, Italy, together with a series of recreational and social activities.Lipica Stud Farm will host the start of the Green Europe Marathon for the first time. The marathon will start from Lipica, in nearby Slovenia, after 2015 success with a course running through the villages in the Slovenian and Triestine Karst, before reaching the scenic Coastal Road, and continuing along Barcola waterfront and then diving into the heart of the city. The half marathon will start from Duino as usual.The finish line of both races will be in Unità d’Italia, Trieste, the largest European square overlooking the sea.
