Experience the thrill of endurance with the latest installment of the Limitless Trails BYU Series, featuring a unique twist on the rules. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Black Mountains near Crickhowell, this event offers a 4.2-mile loop on a 50/50 mix of trail and tarmac. With only one gradual climb and a short steep section, the rest of the course is relatively flat, making it fast and dynamic. Medals will be awarded to participants who complete at least 32 miles (Ultra distance), while the last person standing will take home the coveted winner’s trophy. You’ll be supported with refreshments and hot food starting after the 5th yard to keep you fueled throughout the challenge. Key Rules and Format: Loop Format: A 4.2-mile loop starting every hour on the hour. Participants must complete each loop within an hour to continue. Starting Corral: Be ready at the bell; late starts are not allowed. Course Rules: Stay on the course except for restroom breaks, no personal aid during loops, and slower runners must allow passes. Winner: The last person to complete a loop is the winner. All others will be classified as DNF unless they reach at least 32 miles. Timing: Accurate timing will be provided, with detailed results based on distance covered. Open-Ended Race: There’s no set finish time; the race continues until the last runner remains. The event begins on Friday evening, with the exact start time confirmed via email the Sunday before the race.
