Stockhorn Half Marathon

This iconic mountain run in the Bernese Oberland is celebrated as one of the most scenic in the region. Starting in Oberwil, the course ascends to Vorderstockenalp, where the mountain prize is awarded, and continues through Oberstockenalp to the finish at the Stockhorn summit. With over 1,700 meters of elevation gain, the challenge is as rewarding as it is demanding. Spanning 21.1 kilometers, the route takes runners through Bunschen, Weissenburgbad, Weissenburgberg, Tanzboden, and Schopf before reaching Vorderstockenalp. From there, it climbs further to Oberstockenalp and finally to the breathtaking summit of Stockhorn. Participants are greeted at the finish with refreshments and an unparalleled panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, making every step of the journey worthwhile.
