SPAR Budapest Marathon

The Budapest Marathon is part of a two-day festival dedicated to running. On Sunday, the spotlight is on the marathon. Saturday, meanwhile, focuses on shorter distances for less experienced runners. With distances ranging from 400 m to 42 km, everyone in the family can find their own challenge and join in the running festivities. Taking part in the marathon is essentially a running sightseeing tour of beautiful Budapest. The course winds through the heart of the city, crossing several bridges and passing its most iconic landmarks. Enjoy views of the Buda Castle from the banks of the Danube, and take in the panorama of Pest and Europe’s third-largest Parliament building!
