Serengeti Safari Marathon

The Serengeti Safari Marathon takes place in the western part of Serengeti National Park, starting from the Ndabaka Gate. The event features multiple race categories to suit runners of all levels: 42 km – Full Marathon 21 km – Half Marathon 10 km – Executive Run 5 km – Fun Run All races combine rough and tarmac terrains, with distinct routes designed to showcase the breathtaking landscapes of the Serengeti. Each course passes through the park’s endless plains, with the starting point located inside the national park for all categories. The Serengeti Safari Marathon brings together the spirit of sport and tourism, with the primary goal of promoting tourism through sporting activities while offering participants a truly unique running experience in one of the world’s most iconic natural environments. IMPORTANT: ONLY local runners can sign up for "East Africa Participants" tickets. If non-local runners attempt to purchase local tickets, the registration will be cancelled.
