Santa Clarita Marathon

The Santa Clarita Marathon, which is an official qualifying race for the Boston Marathon, will test the physical boundaries of the human body in November.About 1000 runners cross the finish line each year in the Santa Clarita Marathon which follows an out-and-back loop course along the streets of this Southern California city that lies just a short drive from L.A.Following a fast and often flat course — with a few hilly stretches thrown in — the race features a combination of paved city streets, natural surface bike trails and paseos, and winds its way through the neighborhoods and along the banks of the Santa Clara River that cuts through the city.
