Rose of the Shires Ultra

A picturesque circular route around Northamptonshire, supported by the local running community. Covering 54 miles of country trails, roads, and towpaths, this epic race showcases the beauty of Northamptonshire’s villages, forests, canals, and country parks. This fully tracked and interactive race takes place in a fantastic central location, with a single-loop course that makes planning and logistics simple. The route highlights the stunning Northamptonshire countryside, passing through two country parks, Salcey Forest, the Grand Union Canal, and 21 charming villages and towns, following sections of the Nene Way, the Midshires Way, and the Northampton Round. There are six checkpoints positioned at intervals of 6 to 8 miles along the course.
