Publix Savannah Women's Half and 5K

Like a proper Southern belle with an electric-blue streak in her hair, this grand historic town revolves around formal antebellum architecture and the revelry of local students from Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). It sits alongside the Savannah River, about 18 miles from the coast, amid Lowcountry swamps and mammoth live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. With its colonial mansions and beautiful squares, Savannah preserves its past with pride and grace. However, unlike its sister city of Charleston, SC, which retains its reputation as a dignified and refined cultural center, Savannah is a little gritty, lived-in, and real.This will be the back drop of the Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon!!Runners will get the chance to navigate the flat, scenic streets of Georgia’s oldest city at the all-new Publix Savannah Women’s Half & 5K, which makes its annual running on the first weekend of April and will feature a course that starts at the largest of the city’s signature parks and finishes in front of one of its most recognizable landmarks, the Forsyth Park fountain.
