Póvoa Mountain Bike Marathon

On September 6, 2026, the most emblematic mountain bike race in northern Portugal returns: the Póvoa Mountain Bike Marathon will be in its ninth edition, continuing its history of excellence. Starting and finishing in the city of Póvoa de Varzim, the 2026 edition offers two routes with different distances and levels of difficulty: the Half Marathon, with 45km, and the Marathon, with 70km. The choice between a more accessible route and a more demanding one is one of the reasons why we have around 1000 participants annually; another is the prevailing friendliness that makes everyone, participants and organizers alike, feel at home!
