The Schneider Electric Paris Marathon takes runners on a scenic route through the French capital, starting on the Champs-Elysees and finishing at the Arc de Triomphe. The predominantly flat course passes landmarks including the Bastille, Notre-Dame, and the Eiffel Tower. Approximately 55,000 runners from over 140 countries participate each year.
