Novo mesto 1/2 marathon

The 8th Novo Mesto Half Marathon will take place on November 15, 2026. The event offers three official, IAAF-measured routes: 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km, all featuring a primarily flat terrain that takes participants through the scenic streets of Novo Mesto and along the green Krka river. The Half Marathon course covers 21.1 km with a total elevation gain of just 102 meters, making it an ideal race for both competitive athletes and recreational runners. The 10 km route consists of two laps of the 5 km course, while the 5 km route shares the first 4 km with the Half Marathon runners, offering a great experience for shorter-distance participants. All races will start simultaneously, creating an energetic and exciting atmosphere as runners of all levels come together to celebrate the spirit of the event. Novo Mesto, the provincial capital of the Dolenjska region, is known for its rich archaeological heritage and beautiful natural surroundings.
