Munnar Marathon

The Munnar Marathon, hosted by Kestrel Adventures and Holidays Pvt. Ltd., is a pioneering endurance event set in the high-altitude landscapes of Idukki District, Kerala. As the first of its kind in the region, the marathon highlights Munnar’s potential as a destination for sport tourism while promoting a culture of health and active living among the local youth. The course winds through tea plantations, mist-covered hills, and scenic valleys—offering both visual splendor and a physical challenge due to the region’s undulating terrain and cool climate. Designed with sustainability at its core, the event embraces eco-conscious practices and is on track to be certified carbon neutral in its upcoming edition.
