Malmö Marathon

The long-awaited moment has arrived: Malmö is set to host its first city marathon since 1986! The race will begin and end at the Ribersborg recreation area, where participants will embark on a fast and flat course through Malmö's scenic landscape. Thanks to its minimal elevation changes, the event has the potential to become one of Sweden's fastest courses for both the marathon and half marathon distances. Marathon runners will head south along Ribersborg, passing through Ön towards Limhamn and Sibbarp, while half marathon participants will take a more direct route toward Pildammsparken. From Sibbarp, marathoners will continue on to Hyllie and Emporia before looping back toward Ribersborg. At Københavnsvägen, the marathon route merges with the half marathon loop, and after Pildammsparken, both races will weave through Malmö's city center, where we anticipate enthusiastic crowd support. Spectators will have the opportunity to cheer on the runners from multiple vantage points, adding to the electric atmosphere. We can't wait to celebrate this incredible running festival with you!
