Lykos Half Marathon

The Lykos Half Marathon invites participants to run across one of Turkey’s most remarkable landscapes, combining the natural beauty of Pamukkale’s UNESCO-listed travertine terraces and the historical heritage of the ancient city of Hierapolis. The 21.0975 km route features a mix of asphalt and cobblestone surfaces, with the final 2 kilometers taking runners through the ancient streets of Hierapolis, offering a unique running experience among Roman ruins, including baths, a theater, and an ancient pool. The terrain is varied, with ups and downs reflecting the natural and historic topography. In addition to the race, participants can enjoy the therapeutic thermal pools of Pamukkale and sample Denizli’s distinctive local cuisine, featuring dishes such as Denizli kebab and keşkek, ensuring visitors experience both the region’s cultural and culinary highlights.
