Longji Terraces Trail Running Race

The Longji Terraces Trail Running Race is a unique mountain trail event held in the world-famous Longji Rice Terraces. Celebrating its eighth edition in 2026, the race offers 100 km, 50 km, 30 km, and 15 km distances through one of China’s most spectacular agricultural landscapes. The course traverses the core scenic area of the Longji Rice Terraces, where runners weave through cascading terraces that climb the mountainsides like dragon scales. Along the way, participants pass traditional Zhuang and Yao villages, experiencing the hospitality, customs, and culture of the region’s ethnic minority communities. Depending on the season, runners may encounter the famous golden rice fields that have made Longji one of China’s most photographed destinations. Beyond the race, the Longji Carnival brings together traditional Zhuang and Yao performances, local folklore, and trail running culture, creating a vibrant celebration of sport and heritage.
