Joshua Tree Half Marathon

The Joshua Tree Half Marathon is a unique night race set in the rugged Mojave Desert, perfectly suited for those seeking a thrilling challenge. This race starts and finishes at Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground, unfolding entirely under the cover of darkness. Equipped with headlamps and reflective gear, participants navigate a demanding loop on sandy dirt roads, encountering sections of soft, deep sand where trail shoes are vital. Although the course runs next to, rather than through, Joshua Tree National Park, athletes can enjoy high desert scenery characterized by iconic, twisted Joshua trees and a spectacular, star-filled sky.
