About the race
The Guayaquil Marathon is the most important athletic event in the country. It has been held annually since 2005 on the first Sunday of October as part of the city's October festivities, thanks to the support of the Municipality of Guayaquil. This year it will take place on Sunday, October 4th at 4:00 AM. The Guayaquil Marathon is certified by World Athletics and is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
