Fjellmaraton

The Norwegian Mountain Marathon is an exercise event with distances suitable for the whole family and participants of all ages. The events include Marathon, Half Marathon, Mountain Goat 10 km Cross Country, Minithon 7 km and a Kids Race approximately 800m. The race is held in the city of Beitostølen,Norway. The Marathon start is about 900 meters, the highest point is about 1400 meters and finish at about 900 masl. The course takes runners from Besstrond over paved road surface through a beautiful desolate mountain landscape to the finish area in Beitostølen. The Half Marathon starts at the highest point of the Marathon course and you run down to the same finish at Beitostølen Usually there are about 1500 participants that take advantage of the national park to complete a distance at The Norwegian Mountain Marathon.
