Corsa dei Santi, the Feast of All Saints, it is a sporting event that has grown progressively with thousands of participants, keeping faith with its many institutional purposes which are those of: give visibility as a popular festival to the celebration of all saints from which it takes its name; bring to the fore a humanitarian emergency that calls for our solidarity; promote the values of sport according to the Salesian educational tradition. Its route, which winds through the historic center of Rome, among squares, churches and noble palaces, and the presence of athletes competing together with entire families celebrating makes it one of the most beautiful races in the world. Professional and non-professional athletes, champions and beginners are invited to the competition, whether they boast prestigious or absolutely normal performances, whether or not they are present in the national and international rankings. However, there are many athletes of absolute international standing at the start in each edition. For the recruitment of the participants, who are divided into two main categories, competitive athletes and amateurs, we have invited some authoritative institutions to collaborate. The start and finish are set in St. Peter's Square. The television shooting is as always entrusted to Canale 5. Each edition of the Race aims to give greater visibility to important charitable projects. These solidarity initiatives are supported through famous testimonials and a telephone fundraiser during the "Speciale TG 5" dedicated to the Race. Among the numerous testimonials associated with the charity project of the latest editions of the Corsa dei Santi we find: the Paralympic athlete GIUSY VERSACE, the American athlete CARL LEWIS, the American singer DEE DEE BRIDGEWATER, the Indonesian/French singer-songwriter ANGGUN, the fencer VALENTINA VEZZALI, singer-actor-entrepreneur AL BANO, and long jump and triple jump specialist FIONA MAY.
