About the race
Challenge Israman takes place on 29 January 2027 in Eilat, Israel, as the main race of the Challenge Israman Weekend held 27–30 January. Organized by Shvoong as part of Challenge Family, it offers a long distance (3.8 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km run) and a middle distance (1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21.1 km run), with a listed start time of 06:10. The middle distance is a Challenge Family and PTO Silver Tier event that includes a pro race.
The swim starts and finishes at Royal Beach on a 1,900 m counterclockwise triangle loop, which full-distance athletes complete twice. The bike course follows Route 12 with a steep climb into the mountains above the Gulf of Eilat to T2 at Netafim. The run descends from Netafim for about 10 km, then continues along the Eilat promenades to the finish. Average conditions are around 20°C air and 22°C water.
Participants must submit, in English, a doctor-signed health permit and a statement confirming their insurance covers triathlon accidents. Registration is handled through the official Israman website.
