Big Night Out Winchester

BigNightOut: Dark Trails is a night-time trail running event set near the historic city of Winchester, Hampshire. Runners set off from Winchester Athletics Track, following a clearly marked course that winds onto the South Downs Way and through picturesque spots like Cheesefoot Head and St Catherine’s Hill, all under the glow of headtorches. The route offers stunning nighttime views and a unique, adventurous atmosphere. All participants are required to carry a headtorch and enough hydration for the journey. Amenities include a bag drop and well-stocked aid stations along the way. Instead of a traditional medal, runners have the option to plant a tree, supporting environmental sustainability. The event is known for its friendly, encouraging atmosphere and features on-course photographers to capture the experience.
