Badwater 135 runs 135 miles from Death Valley, the lowest point in North America at 85 meters below sea level, to the Mt. Whitney trailhead at 2,548 meters. Temperatures can exceed 54 degrees Celsius on the road. It is considered one of the most grueling ultramarathons in the world.
