ATW Welwyn Half Marathon

The popular Welwyn Half Marathon and 10k starts and finishes on the impressive 400m athletics track at Gosling Sports Park. You will be directed out of the stadium, through the leafy outskirts of Welwyn where the Half Marathon heads towards the Cole-Green Way, a disused railway line which is now a perfect traffic-free track to run along. After this traffic free section the Half will complete a short loop to bring you back onto the Cole Green Way again. You then reverse your route to finish on the track back at Gosling Sports Park. Taking place in Autumn, it's a perfect time for a half marathon. This race will be operating a 3 hour cut off time, after which there will not be marshals and course signage available. The event is held under a full UK Athletics race license and chip-timed by our professional timing partner, Event Chip Timing. This event is more than just a run. You’ll be warmed up with personal trainers, welcomed home by a professional commentator and your cheer-squad will be kept fed and watered by quality caterers while you run. The event will start at 09:30am. A FREE 400m Children’s Fun Run will also take place on the running track 15 mins before the half-marathon start (no need to book, just turn up to registration). Parents are welcome to run with their kids and use it as a warm-up for the main event!
